THE FIFTY ELEVEN PROJECT is an intimate and immersive experience of music, art, and film based on the real story of Kasper Bjorke.

The visual artist Justin Tyler Close engages into an audio-visual non verbal dialogue with two narrative layers : One man’s struggle with cancer and anxiety while facing his own mortality versus mankind’s impact on planet earth.

It abstractly explores the significance of time through a site specific installation; including 11 different films for 11 compositions by Kasper Bjorke Quartet, on 11 different screens in one space. Each film will play on a continuous loop throughout the exhibition.

We join our protagonist on his odyssey before, during and after his cancer diagnosis, from the fear of relapse - to the healing light of being loved; all while accepting his own mortality, resilient nature to survive and his reconnection to nature.
